I watched your video on speaking. In tongues and I did what you said and it seems that I’m having trouble getting started. I tried to follow you when you were speaking in tongues and it just won’t get started. I’m Catholic and was baptized in the Father,son, Holy Spirit. What’s wrong with me? Can you help me?

Father Thank you for your Grace and Mercy(Hebrews4) helping Penelope to be filled with your Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. May every hindrance to her speaking in tongues be removed in Jesus name, May your Grace Bless her to speak and sing in tongues easily and graceful now in Jesus name. Thank you for Blessing her with grater and grater revelation of who you are in Jesus NAme(Ephesians). May you help her to pray continually as you desire all the days of her life, growing closer and closer to you each day. In Jesus Name. May all the works of the devil be destroyed in her life(1John 3:8) and may she live in the newness of Life you have given her.
There is Nothing wrong with you. Be gentle with yourself. I was Catholic and when I was Catholic I did not know about praying in tongues,(Even though I read chapter 2 of the Book of Acts at Mass I pretty much memorized, but did not know I could speak in tongues. but one day (As a Catholic) I took a walk to worship and spend time with the Lord I noticed “sounds” coming out of me.. not complete words, I thought why am I saying that?? So I just stopped but it happened as I relaxed and pray it flowed freely from me , but stopped when I tried to figure it out.
When I was actually getting prayed for to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit nothing was coming out I thought I would hear words, someone else there said he was going to be filled and then as he was speaking out I would just start to speak out and I did when I realized the sounds that were coming to me were actually words in the spirit. And I started to sing in the Spirit as I was praying speaking out walking around enjoying the beauty of the day it just switched to song,. Now I can speak or sing in the SPirit at anytime. The Grace of Jesus , the Love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you. (2Cor15)
Another person said believing for it or receiving is TAKING it. Jesus baptizes us in the Holy SPirit. Thank you JESUS I take the gift of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.
Simply continue to give thanks to Jesus for filling you with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
“Thank you for filling me with your Holy Spirit, thank you I believe I receive, thank you” I still thank Him for filling me.
Keep thanking him, keep thanking Him, it is His will for you to be filled and pray in the Spirit.
Every promise in the Bible is ours. If we do not see it right away it is still ours, keep thanking Him .
One girl we prayed for did not speak out right way, and then when she was about to go to bed she began to pray in the spirit..I think it has to do with being relaxed not trying to hard. You will get it. It flows from the heart not the mind.

Hi Penelope. Thank you for your question. That is wonderful that you are desiring to speak in tongues. You most certainly can so please keep trying. The keys are 1) To be born again. 2) To be filled with the Holy Spirit. 3) To believe you have received tongues and begin to just speak out.
The first 2 keys are very important. You can search through my website to find out more information about them. I will also email you my green booklet “What to do after you get saved”. It has a good teaching about baptism in the Holy Spirit. God bless, Ryan.
